Panos Grivakis

Backstory

Panos earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University and spent ten years at JPMorgan Chase as an Executive Director specializing in Cross-Asset Institutional Derivatives.

That decade gave Panos a deep understanding of the risks that matter most to business owners and executives: concentration risk, business cycle exposure, RSU hedging, and the structuring decisions that surround a liquidity event. It also gave him something rarer. Panos built a high savings rate during his JPMorgan career, then successfully transitioned out of institutional finance, structuring his own lifestyle and assets to match the life he wanted to live. He did not just help develop the Lakewood framework. He lived it.

After JPMorgan, Panos built and scaled multiple businesses, including restaurants and residential real estate, growing them to eight-figure revenue. He navigated SBA lending, real estate financing, and alternative financing structures from the operator's seat, not the advisor's chair. Those businesses now run under their own management structures, which gave Panos the ability to bring his full attention to what he does best: advising business owners and executives through the most consequential financial transitions of their lives.

Jon and Panos worked side by side at JPMorgan for ten years. They share a set of values about how wealth management should work, and that shared conviction is the foundation of Lakewood. The firm serves clients across the nation.

Panos lives in Newport Beach, California with his wife Rena and their two daughters, Myra and Lyla, who both play competitive soccer. He coaches youth soccer in his community, plays in adult leagues when time permits, and considers Japan, where his wife is from, the world's best food destination.
